The Centre Mosaïque de Québec is a socially responsible organisation that is proud to invest in its community. Through workshops for families, screenings in French and English and collaborations with community partners, the Centre seeks to keep community members supported in all aspects of communication and language abilities.

Mathilde Motte (Vafopoulos)

Speech-Language Pathologist (CCO),
Mathilde graduated in Speech-Language Pathology from the Faculty of Medicine at La Timone, Marseille (France) in 2015. She initially worked in a hospital neurovascular emergency unit, then developed her expertise with a diverse age group presenting various neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as in specialized settings supporting children and adolescents facing significant challenges in speech, language, communication, and swallowing. During her experiences, she developed a particular interest in autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
She has regularly pursued professional development in areas she is passionate about, including neurodevelopmental disorders (oral language, reading/writing, and mathematical learning), feeding and oral-motor difficulties in very young children, communication development, and the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools, as well as more broadly, the specific support of individuals with ASD. She has also completed several trainings in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and the Montessori approach in speech-language therapy, which strongly influence her practice.
As a mother of two young boys, Mathilde is aware of the challenges parents may face in daily life and places particular importance on building trust and maintaining a high-quality relationship with both her clients and their families.
