Through workshops for families, screenings in French and English and collaborations with community partners, the Centre seeks to keep community members supported in all aspects of communication and language abilities

Kristy graduated from the Laval University’s Masters’ program in Speech-Language Pathology. She has also obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts – Theatre degree from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Arts – Psychology and Linguistics degree from McGill University.
Kristy has been active in research activities in the field of speech-language pathology since 2008. Her areas of research interest are bilingualism, stuttering, childhood apraxia of speech and developing normative data for standardized testing. She maintains active participation in research societies.
Kristy provides services in French and in English. She has focussed her clinical work on supporting children within several first nations communities and the English-speaking populations outside of the larger metropolitan areas of the province. She is passionate about supporting the individuals and caregivers that support a person with communication and learning challenges.
Kristy regularly gives workshops and professional development training to families, educational professionals and healthcare workers on many aspects of communication and language development including reading and writing difficulties, behavioural challenges within the context of language development, and multilingualism.
